Phew… It’s finally over. Everyone loves happy ending right? This finale definitely paid well for that alone. This episode is full of fanservices that Danganronpa fans will enjoy, including the ending.
Phew, I’m trying to catch up here. Still, I can’t believe Kyoko’s dead, man. But the survivor count in the previous Hope episode really foreshadows her being alive and well. Hagakure & Byakuya were ruled out because they’re not taking part in the game since it began. That leaves Makoto, Ryota, Aoi & Kyousuke. Juzo was confirmed still alive after the count shown but RIPed due to loss of blood. Yukizome pretty much confirmed dead forever, more info see Future #11. I bet Kyoko’s the one who is survived, probably because of Kimura’s medicine that could stop poison from spreading in her body and whatnot. This is my speculation at the moment.
Despair Arc ended as expected, all 77th Class students turned into Remnants of Despair by Junko using Ryota’s brainwashing video. I’m wishy washy about Izuru’s true motive. He doesn’t seem to have that ominous aura as described by Junko in the 2nd game, instead he has that boring personality. Plus, he had doubts about hope VS despair thingy, sounds not too ‘hopeful’ to me. Not surprising that she partially lied about him.
I felt like Ryota should be the main antagonist of this anime in some ways, since brainwashing technique being used several times throughout Danganronpa series, which he started it all back in Despair arc. Tengan was just a catalyst for his plan orchestrated by Junko indirectly.
I’m about to watch the Hope episode, so let’s see how it ends. I already expect some plot holes left after it finishes, so yeah.
Heard the news that the manga is ending soon. Maybe the manga is better than this abomination. But still, J.C Staff had 3 anime to work for this season I guess? That’s why the quality of this anime is pretty much compromised.
Bland characters, cringeworthy comedy & uninteresting story accompanied with terrible pacing and such. This is Taboo Tattoo guys. I rather go enjoy some Fate series than this one. I get the author is pretty much a fan of Fate, not to mention he’s working on the manga adaptation of Fate/Zero, but still…
- Story (4.5/10)
- Characters (5.3/10)
- Animation, Art & Design (6.5/10)
- Music/Audio (7.5/10)
- Enjoyment (5.5/10)
- Overall (5.9/10)
Dunno about other anime that I didn’t watch, but this is probably my worst anime of the season that I’ve watched.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy 「ダンガンロンパ3 －The End of 希望ケ峰学園 」 #10
FUTURE #10: Death, Destruction, Despair
DESPAIR #10: Smile at Despair in the Name of Hope
Those episodes were depressing as fuck. Just be prepared though. Gonna watch Future Arc Ep 11 soon.
Unless Kodaka makes a 180 degree twist, it’s almost confirmed that the traitor of the Future Arc incident might be Yukizome. I wonder if Hiro & Byakuya are doing just fine after the HQ building collapsed.
Taboo Tattoo 「タブー・タトゥー 」
Anyway, I apologize for posting this pretty late. Intern jobs hold me back.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy 「ダンガンロンパ3 －The End of 希望ケ峰学園 」 #9
Last week’s episodes were driving me real crazy. Holy shit, things get even darker upon nearing the end of this anime. I’m not ready for despair yet lol.
Taboo Tattoo 「タブー・タトゥー 」
At this rate, the production team is pretty much gave up & don’t give a shit about this adaptation anymore. Also, I dunno whether I should laugh or not during the comedy parts.
Anyway, Kyoko’s in beast mode right now.
Future Arc Ep 9 soon.
The Tragedy of Hope’s Peak Academy. This is the most gruesome episode to date. Holy damn, that was terrifying to watch. Yeah, there are some black bars here and there, but if you’re too bothered by them, I guess just wait for home release then. I’m still good tho.
Now I kinda understand about how Mikan terribly loved Junko so much as shown in Danganronpa 2. That certain ‘technique’ might made her like that. I also had a bad feeling it might being utilized to make those Reserve students to commit suicide soon.
Reading Danganronpa/Zero light novel isn’t necessary but it’s a plus if you read it, since some characters from the novel did appear in this episode, including the sole survivor of Junko’s killing massacre. Next episode might cover the story of Ryoko & Yasuke, the main characters from the novel, but I think it will be shown in a different point of view.
I love how Danganronpa 3 not only ties everything with the games, but also with different media that are related to the main story. The details they putting in are incredible.
