#17: Connecting Hearts (Mirrorcreator | MT)
Truly satisfying ending, especially with that Dereban power over 9000! Glad that it ended well but stop dreaming that Heartseed/Balloon Vine’s plot is over here. He has a lot of alternatives to break Taichi & Co. down.
I just wanna do a quick review here, so here’s my rating:
- Story (8.8/10)
- Animation, Art & Design (8.5/10)
- Music/Audio (8.0/10)
- Overall (9.0/10)
The thing that I really love about this series is the story balancing. The comedic part & the dramatic part were balanced well. I’m also like how the characters developing throughout the series. We have learned the character’s past, hidden desires & so on. Really enjoyable in my opinion. Now I really love this series & I’ll be looking forward to another season of Kokoro Connect! (depending on the producers….)

Final episode later. Also, dat imouto kiss.
#13: King (Mirrorcreator | MT -thanks to nusaf for the listing-)
Good fight, but the ending was pretty anti-climatic.
Nothing much to say about this anime. The art, the animation & the music were done really well, only the thing I want to criticize is some fight scenes that were being recycled for another episodes. The story & plot, not that bad but it looks pretty weak in terms of its development so I get bored easily. It’s not that deep & intriguing but it feels heartwarming, so I give kudos for that.
There’s another season coming up soon. So that’s a good thing to do since I felt that this episode seems incomplete.
- Story (6.8/10)
- Animation, Art & Design (9/10)
- Music/Audio (8.8/10)
- Overall (7.3/10)
#14: Lives in Shambles (Mirrorcreator | MT)
One arc that contains 4 episodes aired on TV straight away in a day, during New Year’s Eve!
This phenomenon seems interesting, emotion transmission which will ‘transmit’ the person’s hidden feelings into someone’s mind. This arc mainly focused on Iori, Inaba & Taichi, so what are Iori’s hidden feelings that we’re so curious for? Even she keeps bugging herself about her true self. (Insert Persona 4 reference here)
Still working out with the remaining 3 episodes. So, let the drama begin!
1 day late, but akemashite omedetou & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013 guys!
#12: A Blue World, Stretching on to Eternity (Mirrorcreator | MT -shared listing with cooldrake-)
wonder if she is sad
left alone without being touched
by the blue of the sky
or the blue of the sea
We’re now on to Mio’s route/arc. Love that tanka gag in this episode. Um, if the pacing gets rushed again, this might sounds not true at all but I’m really hoping that KyoAni will be doing another remake of this series just like the studio did to Kanon.
The first Kanon anime was animated by Toei Animation in 2002 & it was criticized for it’s lack of art, animation & the pacing which contains 13 episodes, comparing with the remake ones which consists of 24 episodes. It’s not that bad yet still a decent anime but since the remake came out back in 2006, everyone prefers the ones which had a better art, animation & also a nice pacing.
A friendly reminder: Little Busters! will be on hiatus until Jan 6 due to this coming New Year week.
#11: The flag has been set! (Mirrorcreator)
This episode might be referred to one of the Evangelion’s famous controversy. Plus, the final episode of Gunvarrel is almost similar to that film, but in different ways. Kou only gave a brief summary of the episode, but it’s already give me goosebumps about ‘the evil plan’. Aki’s right, anime shouldn’t ended like ‘that’, ya hear that Hideaki Anno-san? Best episode by far with its nice thriller.
Just like PSYCHO-PASS since both are in the same timeblock, the series will be continued on Jan 10 probably due to the special TV shows for Christmas & New Year week.
