ChäoS;Child 「CHAOS;CHILD」 Ep 0-4

mt-inc-chachi-03-b68bcbd2-mkv_snapshot_10-05_2017-02-01_20-19-36Finally! After gone through several ups & downs these past weeks, Chaos;Child comes to light today!

To be honest, I’ve never played Chaos;Head before which I really need to, but the episode 0 which summarizes the basic terminologies of the series pretty much helped me understanding the foundation of what Chaos;Child lies in store for the newbies. Still, gonna play it soon. I didn’t watch the anime adaptation but I heard that it was a disaster with its pacing and such. Sometimes anime adaptation couldn’t be as good as original source, so it’s best to refer to them for best experience.

Of all the Science Adventure VNs, only Steins;Gate (including the follow up Zero) are the ones I’ve read due to the fact that they have the official English localization. I’m also familiar with Robotics;Notes but just the anime which I covered in this site, would be nice if the VN got localized too. Speaking of localization, heard this rumor that PQube, the publisher for Steins;Gate console ports is now working on the localization of Chaos;Child. If that’s the case, then I will definitely get it for its full-fleshed story that we might never see them in the anime, and I’m glad the Science Adventure series is getting some love outside Japan. Oh, and also gonna watch Occultic;Nine anime which I pretty much missed it last year.

Now 4 episodes has been aired since then, and I think I get the delusional theme which is pretty much the pinnacle of Chaos;Head. By episode 4, the delusion phenomenon is getting much clearer now, and of course it happened by messing someone’s brain. It would be interesting if it somehow linked with Viktor Chondria’s brain research in Steins;Gate 0. Robotics;Notes did it once with Nae Tennouji & DaSH references. Also if I recall correctly, there’s this researcher chick Mio who skipped grades for college studies, similar to what Kurisu & Maho did in Steins;Gate. The reference is just great.

Other than that, the animation is pretty good. I’m glad that they use Takeshi Abo’s musics from VN, as well with new compositions I think.
