Sniff.. Sniff… Menma, let’s.. play… hide and seek… again… sniff… sniff… Huh, the show’s over? Sorry, my bad. ;P Ok, here’s what I need to express about the conclusion of this anime.
In the beginning, I thought that the aim of the story was to grant Meiko’s wish to make sure that she leaves without any regrets after watched a couple of episodes. But when this ep arrives, honestly I have to say, the important thing about the story is the bond of friendship. We all know that Meiko ~Menma~ didn’t like offenses. Furthermore, she don’t want Jinta ~Jintan~ and his childhood friends (Naruko ~Anaru~, Atsumu ~Yukiatsu~, Chiriko ~Tsuruko~ and Tetsudou ~Poppo~) to fight each other just because of the dark past. That’s why she wanted to reunite all of them so they realize how important the friendship is. OK. End. No more spoilers.
Pros: Good storyline and plot that grows according to the situation. Many dramatic and tear-jerking scenes that makes you want to cry… ;_; , but I won’t say that it’s a sad story all the time, so without something that makes you laugh, the story itself will not perfect enough, isn’t it? Nice character design.
Cons: There’s nothing bad at all, only that I’m unsatisfied was the small amount of episodes and some forgettable soundtracks.
Last but not least, it’s a little better than Clannad and Angel Beats!. The best anime of the season yet! Currently #4 in Anime News Network and #32 in MyAnimeList (as of 27/06/11). See ya later in the next noitaminA anime, Bunny Drop.
Many thanks to UTW fansub group for releasing the English subbed for this series.
